park_-364x212Baseball has returned to El Paso and it started with a bang. The San Diego Padres came to University Park to play its Triple A affiliate El Paso Chihuahuas. The sold out game was played on an absolutely perfect night. It was the best baseball weather for many El Pasoans to enjoy. Although the Chihuahuas lost the game, it was a great start to the upcoming season.

With the start of the third season here in El Paso, the community has embraced the ball club and have made watching a game a great way to spend a summer night in El Paso. Many families will enjoy a night at the ball park with friends and family. There have been many improvements in and around the stadium and I expect it to continue. With many new things coming to the El Paso area, there will be many new restaurants and places to visit around town.

So if you are new to El Paso, now is the time to come out enjoy a great night out and enjoy a night of baseball. Southwest University Park is one of the premiere Triple A ball parks in the country and with good reason. I hope to catch a few games this season myself. So make your way out there sometime during the Spring or in the Summer. You will not regret it!

Go Chihuahuas!!
