The largest Classic Film Festival in the world dedicated to classic cinema begins August 1 right here in El Paso. The Festival will run through Sunday, August 11. The festival, in it’s sixth year, will be kicked off  by an appearance from Rita Moreno star of “Westside Story”. This will be the first of 85 films shown at the historic plaza theater here in El Paso, Texas.

Ms. Moreno  will come and share stories from the set and her experience in making “Westside Story”. She is only 1 of 11 stars to receive all four of the entertainment industry’s major award which include: an Oscar, a Tony, an Emmy, and a Grammy Award.

Included in this year’s 85 films more international titles have been added as well as more films seeming geared toward the 35 and under crowd.  The Festival will include many pre show film talks by stars, directors and other celebrities this is sure to attract a great crowd.
